On May 9, 2010 at 4:03PM Hughesville was alerted to assist with a working house fire in the 40,300 block of Coon Hunters Way in Hollywood, St. Mary’s County. Engine 23 (Dent) responded with 6 personnel and assisted on the scene for a little over one hour. While Engine 23 was committed on the fire, Engine 22 (McPherson), Utility 2 and Paramedic Ambulance 27 responded with 6 personnel to the 6800 block of Buckeye Drive for the auto accident involving a motorcycle. Units found a juvenile male who crashed while riding a four wheeler. He had serious injuries and was MEDEVAC’d from the scene by Maryland State Police Trooper 7 to an area trauma center. Units operated for approximately 45 minutes.
