On May 15, 2005 at 7:12 AM units from Hughesville Fire and EMS and Dentsville EMS were alerted to the 9600 block of Trinity Church Road for the auto accident with injuries. Units arrived to find a single vehicle into a tree with one person trapped. Command was established and Engine 22 was alerted for the second “Hurst Tool” with a crew in the station. Engine 22 responded with four to assist. Crews extricated the patient and turned her over to Ambulance 158. A medevac helicopter was requested for this patient. Ambulance 27 treated and transported a second patient. Engine 22 established a landing zone for Trooper 7 in a nearby field. Lieutenant Herbert was the incident commander and units cleared approximately one hour later.
