On May 11, 2005 units from Hughesville Fire and EMS, Waldorf EMS and the medic unit were alerted to Leonardtown Road at Oliver Shop Road for the motorcycle accident. Engine 23, Ambulance 28 and Chief 2B (McPherson) arrived to find a single vehicle accident with one victim. As units from Hughesville pulled up a paramedic on the scene requested we start a helicopter. The patient was assessed, packaged and loaded into Ambulance 28. Maryland State Police Trooper 7 responded to a nearby soccer field and transported the victim to an area trauma center. Chief 2B was the incident commander and the last unit cleared approximately 50 minutes later.
