Units from Company 2, EMS 15, 2, and 51 were alerted at 11:01a.m. to the intersection of Oliver Shop Road and Charles Street for a Motor Vehicle Accident with reports of one vehicle overturned and on fire.

Ambulance 518 was the first to arrive and greeted with a large flat bed truck carrying drywall, that was overturned from a head on collision with a small pick up truck. Neither of the vehicles were on fire at the time of arrival.
A quick assessment of the patient and the amount of damage to the smaller vehicle resulted in the call for a med evac. Chief 2A (Herbert) called for the next due Engine to assist with the accident scene, but rerouted them to handle the landing zone for Trooper 7.
Units quickly packaged the patient and turned them over to the Trooper/Paramedics to be flown to a local trauma center.
Engine 22 remained on the scene for 3 hours while the drywall company cleaned up the damaged drywall and assisted State Highway with cleanup.
