On May 22, 2010 at 11:59 PM units from Hughesville Fire and EMS, Benedict Fire and EMS and the Charles County EMS Duty Officer were alerted to the 14600 block of Burnt Store Road for the auto accident with people trapped. Squad 2 (Dent) and Paramedic Ambulance 27 responded at dispatch with 8 personnel. Units arrived to find a single vehicle that struck a utility pole, trapping the only occupant. Engine 22 arrived next with an additional 4 personnel and assisted with the extrication. The roof was removed, both doors were removed and the dash was rolled forward to free the patient. Paramedic Ambulance 27 transported the patient to an area trauma center. Units cleared at 12:46 AM.
