On 05-23-10 at 5:13 AM units from Hughesville Fire and EMS and surrounding companies were alerted to the 15100 block of Oaks Road for the house fire. Engine 23 (Dent) responded with 6 personnel and arrived to find a two story, single family brick residence fully involved. Also the houses on each side of the burning structure were threatened. Crews advanced two attack lines to darken down the fire and protect the exposures on each side. Engine 22, Squad 2, Chief 2A (Herbert) and Paramedic Ambulance 28 arrived with an additional 7 personnel and assisted on the scene. After several hours, the fire was extinguished and overhaul was completed. Units cleared the scene at 8:30 AM.
