On September 8, 2008 at 10:11 AM Squad 2 and EMS 2 were alerted to assist with an auto accident with people trapped at Prince Frederick Road and Maxwell Drive in Benedict. Squad 2 and Paramedic Ambulance 28 arrived to find the correct location in Hughesville’s first due at Prince Frederick Road and Teagues Point Road. Firefighters found an SUV on it’s side with the driver still inside. The vehicle was stabilized and the windshield was cut out to remove the driver. Paramedic Ambulance transported the driver to a local hospital with minor injuries. Squad 2 cleared at 10:45 AM.
