On Tuesday June 12th, at 2032hours, the Hughesville volunteers were alerted to Rte. 231 in the area of the Hughesville post office for the motor vehicle accident. Squad 2 immediately marked up Chief 2-A(Thomas) with 6 followed by Paramedic Ambulance 27 and Engine 23 with 3. Initially Squad 2 was advised that a Keller bus may have been involved in the accident. Squad 2 arrived and found a Mustang Mach 1 that had collided with an SHA truck, with one injured. The Keller bus was found to not have been involved. Due to the seriousness of the accident, Paramedic Ambulance 27 requested a helicopter. The patient was flown to Pg Trauma Center priority 2. All units cleared at 2135 hours.
