On Thursday June 14th, at 1758hours the Hughesville Volunteers along with Bel Alton and Dentsville were alerted to Oliver’s Shop road and Charles street for the motor vehicle accident possible subjects trapped. Squad 2 immediately marked up Lt.(Goff Sr.) with 5, followed by Engine 23, Sgt.(Lowe) and 3, Utility 2 with Chief 2-A(Thomas) and Paramedic Ambulance 27. Shortly afterwards Squad 10 marked up with the Captain(Williams) and 4, followed by Chief 15 and Paramedic Ambulance 158. While enroute units were notified that the patient was unconscious and trapped in the vehicle. Ambulance 158 arrived to find a two vehicle collision with the patient conscious and trapped. Squad 2 and Squad 10 arrived on scene simultaneously and immediately began going to work stabilizing, and securing both vehicles and extricating the patient. The patient was turned over to Paramedic Ambulance 158 who requested a helicopter. The patient was Med-Evaced priority 1 to PG Trauma Center. All unitswere back in service at 1846 hours.
