On August 4, 2006 at 12:46 PM units from Hughesville and Benedict were alerted to an auto accident with injuries in the 15600 block of Prince Frederick Road. Engine 23 and Ambulances 27 and 28 responded and arrived to find a two vehicle accident involving a dump truck and a passenger car. Both occupants in the passenger car were injured. One was medevaced from the scene by Maryland State Police Trooper 2 and the other was transported by ground. The driver of the dump truck was not injured. Command held the units from Hughesville and the medic unit and returned the other units. Engine 23 handled the landing site for Trooper 2 in a field adjacent to the accident. Units operated on the scene for just over one hour.
