On May 24, 2008 at 9:50 PM Hughesville Fire and EMS and surrounding companies were alerted to 14395 Burnt Store Road for the shed fire. Engine 23, Tanker 2, Paramedic Ambulance 27, Paramedic Ambulance 28 and Chief 2A (Thomas) responded at dispatch with 15 personnel. Engine 23 arrived to find an approximately 30′ X 40′ garage/pool house with fire showing. The crew advanced an attack line, extinguished the fire and began checking for extension. Minor extension was found, however with 21 personnel on the scene from Hughesville, the remainder of the units were returned. The Fire Marshal’s Office responded to the scene and determined the fire was accidental. Units cleared the scene at 11:18 PM. Chief 2 (Carroll) was the incident commander.
