On May 25, 2008 at 2:47 PM Hughesville Fire and EMS were alerted to the 14900 block of Hardship Farm Place for the injured person. Units arrived to find an adult male with a serious cut to his leg from a boat motor propeller. A medevac helicopter was requested, which brought Maryland State Police Trooper 2 to the scene. The victim was medevaced to an area trauma center.

Less than 2 hours later, units from Hughesville Fire and EMS were alerted to another injured person who had fallen 25 feet from a roof. The caller also reported the victim may not be breathing. Units arrived to find the victim breathing, but with serious injuries from the fall. Again Maryland State Police Trooper 2 responded to the scene and medevaced this victim to an area trauma center.

Two days later on May 27, 2008 at 11:41 AM units from Dentsville EMS and Paramedic Ambulance 28 were alerted to Three House Place off of Grosstown Road for the burn victim. Units arrived to find an adult male with burns to his face after a minor explosion occurred in a trash barrel in the victim’s yard. Again a medevac helicopter was requested, which brought Maryland State Police Trooper 7 to the scene. The victim was transported to an area burn center for treatment.
