On Thanksgiving morning at 1:50 AM Hughesvile Fire and EMS were alerted to Leonardtown Road and Homeland Drive for the auto accident with injuries. Squad 2 responded with five and arrived to find a single vehicle accident with one injury. Chief 2 (Carroll) and Paramedic Ambulance 27 arrived next and the crews worked together to treat the patient. A medevac helicopter was requested which brought Maryland State Police Trooper 2 to the landing pad at SMECO headquarters. Tanker 2 responded with four to the landing pad and established the landing site. The victim was medevaced to a nearby trauma center. Units cleared at 3:03 AM.
