On October 21st, Hughesville Volunteers were practicing hydrant operations in the area of the Blue Crab Stadium. Officers from the Charles County Sheriffs Office, Maryland National Capital Park Police and Prince George’s County Police Department were conducting a basic motorcycle officer school. The crew of Engine 22 was flagged down and asked to wet the training area to simulate inclement weather. Engine 22 connected to the hydrant and utilized the deck gun to flood the training area for our Law Enforcement partners. This provided a valuable training environment for the students in the class.
Hughesville Volunteers were happy to assist and look forward to building partnerships in our community so we can better serve our citizens.
