On August 12, 2006 at 12:47 PM units from Hughesville Fire and EMS and Benedict EMS were alerted to Leonardtown Road at Prince Frederick Road for the auto accident with injuries. Squad 2, Paramedic Ambulance 27 and Chief 2A arrived to find a three vehicle accident with one victim seriously injured. There was a total of 7 patients, but five were not injured. Paramedic Ambulance 27 treated the seriously injured, while Dentsville Ambulance 158 transported the other victim to a local hospital. Maryland State Police Trooper 2 responded to the landing pad at Southern Maryland Electric on Burnt Store Road where Tanker 2 had established the landing zone to medevac the seriously injured. Units operated for just under one hour.
