On 09-20-05 at 3:31 AM Squad 2 was alerted to 6029 New Forest Court on the second alarm apartment building fire. Squad 2 responded with six personnel under the direction of Chief 2B (Thomas). Squad 2 arrived and was assigned as the “Rapid Intervention Team”. The crew assembled an assortment of hand tools and power tools and proceeded to the fire building to stand-by. The crew also set up lights to the front and rear of the building. Numerous units from Charles and Prince George’s counties operated on the scene for several hours. Squad 2 was released at 5:39 AM.
