The members of Hughesville Fire & EMS put their 1991 Pierce Squad back in service at about 8 p.m., after more than a month of it being out of service to have the whole motor replaced.

Johnson and Towers, Inc. worked quickly and for many hours to put the Squad back together as quickly as they could. But, special thanks should go to HVFDEMS Chief Engineer Steve Cook who tracked the process and ensured top notch service was provided.

The HVFDEMS wants to extend our appreciation to Bel Alton Volunteer Fire Department for handling all of the emergency calls during this time. However, we’re back and they can take a break!
