On February 4, 2008 at 1:03 PM units from Hughesville Fire and EMS and surrounding companies were alerted to 15355 Christy Lane for the house fire. Engine 23 was the first to arrive under the direction of Chief 2 (Carroll). Engine 23 layed a line up the driveway and found significant damage to the exterior of a two story single family dwelling. The bulk of the fire had been knocked by a “neighborhood bucket brigade” prior to the arrival of the fire department. Chief 2 held Engine 23, Tanker 2, Baden Engine 361 and Brandywine Squad 40 to check for extension and overhaul the scene. Units cleared at 2:15 PM.
