On 9-2-07 at 9:54 AM an auto accident with injuries was dispatched in the 15000 block of Burnt Store Road. Units from Hughesville Fire and EMS arrived to find a single vehicle accident with a broken telephone pole, and only one patient in the vehicle. The squad crew gained access to the patient using hydraulic tools off the squad. A medevac helicopter was requested and landed at the landing pad at Southern Maryland Electric, which is where the accident occurred directly in front of. The patient was medevaced from the scene by Maryland State Police Trooper 2. Units operated for approximately 45 minutes.
