On April 1st at approximately 7:23 am, Hughesville Volunteers were alerted to Clarks Run Road in La Plata for the structure fire. Engine 22 made the response. La Plata VFD arrived on scene to find a working fire. Upon arrival Engine 22 laid out from the hydrant to complete the water supply. The crew conducted a primary search on Division 1 (1st floor) and then exited the structure to assist with removing siding on the rear of the residence. The fire was contained to the exterior of the structure. Engine 22 operated on scene for approximately an hour before being released.

Volunteers throughout county had responded to three working structure fires within a 10 hour timeframe.
