On 11-27-09 at 2:02PM units from Hughesville Fire and EMS and Benedict Fire and EMS were alerted to the 5700 block of Brandywine Road for the auto accident with people trapped. Squad 2 and Paramedic Ambulance 27 arrived to find a pickup truck on its side with one person trapped. The squad crew stabilized the truck and cut the roof using the Hurst hydraulic tools. Benedict Engine 52 and Ambulance 58 assisted in removing the victim. The victim was medevac from the scene by Maryland State Police Trooper 2 with serious injuries. Engine 22 handled the landing site in a nearby field.
