On November 6th, multiple units from Hughesville were working a large brush fire when the squad was alerted for an MVC Extrication on New Market Turner Road in St Mary’s County.

Squad 2 was staffed at the station and made the response. Units from St Mary’s County and Hughesville Squad 2 arrived to find a vehicle into a tree with the occupant trapped. Crews quickly went to work extricating the driver. Once removed from the vehicle, the driver was turned over to awaiting EMS units who transported to a nearby landing site. Maryland State Police Trooper 7 transported the victim to a trauma center.

Squad 2 operated on the scene for approximately 45 minutes.
