On Sunday May 6th the Hughesville Volunteers loaded up Engine 22, Brush 2, Utility 2, and Ambulance 28 and headed to the 60th annual Southern Maryland Volunteer Fireman’s Association Convention and Parade, hosted by Hollywood Vol. EMS co. 79. The membership worked all week to get the apparatus to show quality, and as a result of all their hard work Engine 22 won Best Appearing Fire Truck 15 years or older still in service. Members also participated in the Battle of the Buckets and Tug-Of-War along side members of Newburg fire dept.
Many thanks to all who helped with the cleaning and detailing of the apparatus
