Units from Prince Frederick an surrounding companies were alerted for a house fire on Calvert Towne Drive in Prince Frederick at 04:00.
First arriving units were encountered with heavy fire throughout the first and second floors. The Engine crew made an aggressive interior attack as the Tower opened up the structure. The age of the structure, additions to and being “balloon framed” hampered the attack.
Chief 2 (Ficke) requested a second alarm, bringing Engine 23 to the scene. Crews operated in a defensive mode utilizing several handlines and Tower 2.
Apparatus and crews operated on the fireground for nearly 4 hours
