On April 10, 2010 at 2:23 AM, units from Hughesville Fire and EMS and surrounding companies were alerted to the 13,900 block of Burnt Store Road for the trailer fire. The 8 firefighters sleeping in loaded up on Engines 22 and 23 and responded soon after dispatch. Engine 22 was the first arriving to find smoke showing from the mobile home. Engine 22’s crew advanced a 1 3/4″ attack line followed by Engine 23’s crew with a back-up 1 3/4″ line. Crews found fire in a back bedroom and bathroom. The fire was extinguished and the trailer was ventilated. Command held units from Hughesville and Benedict. Sgt. Dent had the command and the last unit cleared at 4:09 AM.
