On Friday October 9, 2009 Engine 22 and Paramedic Ambulance 27 went to Malcolm Elementary School for a fire prevention talk and tour of the fire engine. After a talk about fire safety, the kids were able to see two firefighters dress up in full turnout gear and breathing apparatus. This is done in an attempt to prevent the children from being scared of a firefighter during a real emergency. The children also got a tour of the fire engine and the equipment carried on it.
