On October 8, 2010 the Hughesville Volunteers went to TC Martin Elementary School to teach children about fire safety. The crew on Engine 23 met with approximately 400 children in the morning and 300 children in the afternoon. After a talk about fire safety, the children saw a firefighter in full turnout gear and took a tour around and through the engine.
