On May 19, 2006 Hughesville Volunteers participated in “Career Day” at one of our local elementary schools. Crews from Engine 23 and Ambulance 27 spoke with several groups of children about making Fire and EMS their careers in the future. We were assisted by Benedict Fire & EMS. Several other agencies participated including the Alexandria Fire Department, the Charles County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Park Police.
