Approximately one hour after returning from the double medevac on Leonardtown Road, Hughesville volunteers were back out the door enroute to Federal Hill Place off of Roundhill Road for the person trapped under a tree not breathing. Ambulance 28 was the first to arrive and found the victim no longer trapped, but deceased. The victim was cutting trees when a large tree fell on him causing fatal injuries. Hughesville volunteers remained on the scene assisting the Sheriff’s Office before returning to service at 11:46 AM.
