On May 22nd at approximately 8:15 pm, Hughesville Volunteers along with surrounding departments, the collapse rescue team and the confined space team were dispatched to the 5800 block of Oliver Shop Road for the tree on a house with a collapse. Squad 2 responded along with Battalion Chief 2. Squad 2 arrived to find a tree that had blow down in inclement weather and struck the corner of the porch cause some of the gutter to come off of the roof. Squad 2 scaled the assignment back and upon arrival of the collapse duty officer it was determined the structural interfaith of the house was not compromised and units cleared the scene.
