On October 12th at approximately 2120 hours, Hughesville Volunteers were alerted mutual aid to St Marys County for the structure fire in the 38000 block of New Market Turner Road. Engine 22 and Tanker 2 made the response. First arriving units from Mechanicsville VFD arrived on scene to find a garage with fire showing. Engine 22 arrived on scene a short time later and assisted with throwing ladders, forcing entry and RIT. Units operated on the scene for approximately 60 minutes before being cleared.

After clearing the scene, Tanker 2 conducted a fill in at Mechanicsville VFD to cover any other incidents that may arise.
