On 11-06-07 at 4:30 PM units from Hughesville Fire and EMS and surrounding companies were alerted to Oliver Shop Road and Crescent Run Street for the auto accident with injuries and people trapped. Units from Hughesville arrived to find a two vehicle accident with 5 people trapped in a passenger car and one person trapped in a SUV. Numerous EMS units, medic units and helicopters were requested by the command. An extensive extrication unsued on the passenger car which consisted of removing all four doors, the roof and rolling the dash off the victims. Unfortunately three of the five trapped in the passenger car were deceased. After all were extricated, a total of three people were medevaced from the scene by Maryland State Police Troopers 2 and 7. Tanker 2 handled the landing zone in a nearby field. Units from Hughesville operated on the scene for 90 minutes.

A fourth victim succumbed to his injuries the following day.
