On Friday January 16, 2004 at about 7:04 am, the St. Mary’s County communication’s center dispatched Mechanicsville and Hughesville Fire and EMS Departments to Mohawk Drive in Charlotte Hall for a motor vehicle accident with a person reportedly pinned under a car. Once units were responding, a medic unit was added to the call.

The first units arrived on the scene at about 7:11 am to find one person pinned underneath a vehicle. A quick assessment revealed that the patient had suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene. Mechanicsville’s units remained on the scene and assisted the Sheriff’s Office while they investigated the incident.
