On August 3, 2004, members from Hughesville Volunteer Fire and EMS participated in “National Night Out” to visit our first-due neighborhoods of Carriage Crossing and Serenity Woods. Everyone enjoyed a evening, full of great food and getting to know the members of the community. HVFDEMS members answered questions from the children and community about fire safety and prevention tips. The children had the chance to feel like a firefighter by putting on firefighter gear and helmets.

Special thanks to the members who participated and especially the neighborhoods of Carriage Crossing and Serenity Woods. HVFDEMS is looking forward to participating in next years “National Night Out”.
