On July 27th at approximately 0045 hours, Hughesville Volunteers were alerted to Burnet Store Road for the MVC involving a motorcycle. Squad 2, Chief 2B, EMS Chief 2A, and Paramedic Ambulance 27 made the response.

Squad 2 arrived on the scene and discovered a single-vehicle collision where a motorcycle struck a deer, ejecting the rider. Chief 2B arrived and established the command. Squad 2 quickly determined the rider had significant injuries and requested a helicopter, which brought Trooper 2 for the transport. The patient was packaged and transported to the SMECO landing site, where Engine Tanker 2 established the landing zone. The patient was loaded into the helicopter and transported to a local trauma center. Chief 2B held the command, and units operated for approximately an hour.
