On 04-29-06 at approximately 6:25 PM units from Hughesville Fire and EMS, Benedict EMS and the Charles County Medic Unit were alerted to the Hughesville American Legion on Brandywine Road for the auto accident involving a motorcycle. Units from Hughesville arrived to find a motorcycle versus a truck in the driveway of the American Legion. After assessing the operator of the motorcycle, a medevac helicopter was requested to transport him to an area trauma center. Maryland State Police Trooper 7 responded, landed in the parking lot and transported the victim. Chief 2B (Thomas) was the incident commander and the squad cleared at 7:05 PM.
