On August 29th, 2026 at approximately 345PM, Hughesville Volunteers were alerted to Prince Frederick Road and Brookleigh Woods Lane for the motor vehicle collision with one on fire. Chief 2A, Chief 2B, Squad 2, Engine Tanker 2, Tanker 2, Paramedic Ambulance 2 made the response.

Chief 2B arrived on scene and located a two vehicle collision with one vehicle on fire. Squad 2 conducted a rapid evaluation of the patients and their condition while the Engine Tanker quickly extinguished the fire. One of the drivers involved fled the scene on foot and was quickly located by Law Enforcement. In total 3 patients were evaluated with one of them being transported to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Chief 2B held the command. Units operated on the scene for approximately 45 minutes before returning to service.
