On June 24th at 3:55 PM units from Hughesville Fire and EMS and the Dentsville EMS were alerted to Oliver Shop Road at Charles Street for the auto accident involving a motorcycle. Units arrived to find a motorcycle that was struck by a passenger car and the passenger car had fled the scene. The operator of the motorcycle received serious injuries and was medevaced from the scene by Maryland State Police Trooper 7. Tanker 2 handled the landing site in a nearby field. Chief 2 (Herbert) had the command and units cleared at 5:06 PM.

The passenger car was located and stopped by the police a short distance from the scene.
