On October 20, 2004 at 1:05 AM units from Hughesville, Benedict and LaPlata were alerted to respond to Lockes Crossing Road in St. Mary’s county for the trailer fire. Units from Mechanicsville arrived to find a fully involved trailer fire. Engine 23 arrived, advanced an attack line and assisted crews from Mechanicsville with extinguishing the fire. Benedict Engine 53 assisted with water supply and LaPlata Truck 1 assisted with salvage and overhaul. Engine 23 cleared at 2:17 AM.
