On January 18, 2010 at 12:54 PM units from Hughesville Fire and EMS and surrounding companies were alerted to Charles Street at Keech Road for the auto accident with people trapped. Squad 2, Engine 22, Engine 23, Ambulance 28, Paramedic Ambulance 27 and Chief 2A (Herbert) responded on the call with a total of 18 personnel. Squad 2 was the first arriving and found the accident on Keech Road approximately 1 mile off of Charles Street. The squad crew removed the roof of one vehicle because of the nature of the patient’s injuries. A total of two patients were MEDEVAC to area trauma centers. Chief 2A held the Keech Road Command.
