On November 19th at approximately 2:23 pm, Hughesville Volunteers were alerted to St. Charles Parkway and Smokey Mountain Drive for an MVC with subjects trapped. Squad 2 was in the Waldorf area after clearing a gas leak. Chief 2A also responded on the run.

Chief 2A arrived on scene and established command. Squad 2 arrived shortly after and was assigned to the extrication group. Squad 2 confirmed one person trapped. The crew stabilized the vehicle and extricated the patient within approximately 8 minutes. The patient was turned over to a nearby EMS unit, who transported the patient to an area hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Squad 2 was released from the scene a short time later and returned to the Hughesville area.
