On 7/13/2026, Hughesville Volunteers and surrounding departments were alerted to the 16000 Black of Prince Frederick Road for the Shed Fire. Battalion Chief 2, Chief 2A, Engine 22 and Tanker 2 made the response. Chief 2A was the first arriving unit to find a shipping container well off. Engine 22 arrived and deployed an 1-3/4 handline and quickly extinguished the fire which was contained to the contents of the container. Units operated on the scene for approximately 45 minutes before returning to service.
