On December 10th around 6:45 am, Hughesville Volunteers were alerted to Three Notch Road in the area of Charlotte Hall School Road in St. Mary’s County for the motor vehicle collision with subjects trapped. Squad 2, Chief 2A and Paramedic Ambulance 2 responded. Units arrived on scene to find a two vehicle collision with one person trapped. Squad 2 and St. Mary’s Squad 2 worked together to rescue the trapped occupant and passed on EMS care on the scene. The patient was transported to a landing zone, and subsequently flown to an area trauma center for treatment of life threatening injuries.
