On September 1st at approximately 7:04 PM, Hughesville Volunteers were alerted to St. Mary’s County at the intersection of Three Notch Road and Golden Beach Road for the motor vehicle collision extrication. Squad 2 immediately made the response.

Hughesville Squad 2 arrived on scene to find a single vehicle rollover collision. The crew quickly went to work extricating the patient who was trapped in the vehicle. Mechanicsville Volunteers assisted with the extrication upon their arrival. Once complete, the patient was turned over to EMS and pronounced deceased on the scene. The scene was turned over to local law enforcement for investigation.
