On June 5, 2008 at 9:13 AM a citizen came to the firehouse and reported a car accident with injuries, in the traffic circles just down from the firehouse. Squad 2 and Paramedic Ambulance 28 arrived to find an overturned cement mixer versus a van with one injury. The cement mixer was loaded with a load of cement. The driver of the cement mixer suffered serious injuries and was medevaced by Maryland State Police Trooper 2. The landing zone was set up by Tanker 2 at the Southern Maryland Electric Headquarters on Burnt Store Road.
