On 01-18-07 at approximately 2:48 PM units from Hughesville Fire and EMS and the Dentsville EMS responded to Charles Street and Dent Lane for the auto accident with injuries. Units arrived to find a single vehicle accident with one injury. Squad 2 and Ambulance 158 remained on the scene while Paramedic Ambulance 167 was placed in service. At 2:59 PM another accident with injuries was dispatched in the construction area for the Hughesville bypass with a reported overturned dumptruck. Engine 23, Ambulance 27 and Chief 2 responded from the station and arrived to find a dumptruck on it’s side with no injuries. Squad 2 cleared the first accident and responded, as well as St. Mary’s Squad 2. Units checked for fluid leaks, then turned the scene over to the Maryland State Police. Units from Hughesville were back in quarters at 3:27 PM.
