The Hughesville Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad regret to announce the passing of one of its extended family members, “Arson” “Arson” was the family pet of members Rick and Michele Bagley and their 3 year old son Tyler. “Arson” would have been 6 years old on May 16th. “Arson” was diagnosed on Sunday, April 19, 2009 with liver failure. He was laid to rest on Tuesday, April 21st. During his time as an extended family member of the Hughesville Vol. Fire Dept and EMS. “Arson” participating in many department functions such as, Fire Prevention Open House, National Night Out, Southern Maryland Volunteer Firemen’s Association Parades, and even the Maryland State Firemen’s Convention in Ocean City. “Arson” has touched the many lives of the people he has come across, and will be greatly missed by the Bagley Family, as well as the Hughesville Volunteer Fire Department.
