On 11-28-07 at 7:11 AM units from Hughesville Fire and EMS and surrounding companies were alerted to Mt. Pleasant Road at Iowa Road for the auto accident with people trapped. The police arrived to find the correct location to be Poplar Hill Road off of Mt. Pleasant Road. They also reported 3 trapped in the car with one not breathing. Units arrived and began the extrication. One patient was pronounced dead on the scene and the other two were medevaced from the scene by Maryland State Police Trooper 2, who landed on the scene.
