On April 23rd at approximately 1500 hours, Hughesville Volunteers were alerted to St Mary’s County on the 2nd Alarm for a Commercial Structure Fire on Usher Ln. Engine 22, Engine Tanker 2 and Chief 2A made the response. Upon arrival Engine 22 was assigned to assist brush units with a brush fire that began as a result of the structure. Engine 22 filled brush trucks assigned to fighting the fire. Engine Tanker 2 shuttled 3 loads of water to the fire-ground before being released.
