On March 31st at approximately 11pm, Hughesville Volunteers and surrounding departments were alerted to Prince Frederick Road and Siesta Fields Place for the motor vehicle collision with subjects trapped. Squad 2, Battalion 2C and Paramedic Ambulance 27 made the response from Hughesville. Squad 2 arrived on scene to find a 2 vehicle collision with 1 subject trapped and a total of 13 patients. Battalion 2C arrived and assumed the command, requesting a mass casualty assignment. Units from Hughesville and Benedict worked quickly to free the trapped occupant. All patients needing transport were transported to local hospitals. The remaining patients signed released and were not transported. The scene was turned over to CCSO and the Maryland State Police for investigation.
